How do you create a home that is safe, functional and beautiful to boot, while working with the natural features of the landscape? It’s a big ask, but Marina Vella has truly delivered the goods with the fabulous Chontay House.

Design is generally all about living – making life better; fuller; prettier. But as we all know, the only guarantees in life are death and taxes, so this week we’re looking at something taboo – coffins!

Material Consequences is back for a second year of showcasing the work of local designers based at Cockpit Arts.

We’re into the Three R’s here at Mind the Cork – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle is very much our credo, but while there’s a will there’s not always a way and certain items present more of a green challenge.

Do come and join us at the Garden Museum this Sunday for what promises to be great day of sustainable summer shopping!

Here’s my attempt to embrace it.

Mind the Cork is all about helping create modern and gorgeous spaces, by producing homeware that is beautifully handcrafted and planet-friendly. So I am very happy that the Terra cushion worked so well in the Latrobe St Apartment project in Melbourne.
